I think there’s emerging a pattern, constantly hinted by Putin himself, that Russia is ruled by a conglomerate of middle managers. Opportunists who neither bring a vision or wield power a CEO could, nor do they any fondness for the working class, a class they despise and tried to escape from.
So there’s no much left for them but to take the their cues from the money changers, industry leaders and attend global seminars on the standards they should be abiding by. This works in the west, but unfortunately Russia proved to be a target for certain players who play a much bigger game.
The Jews in Ukraine, we’ve been told could not possibly support nazis. And they’re right in a sense, Ukrainian nazis are not useful to a Jewish regime in the long run. They make no qualms about keeping them at arms length. They had to go one way or another eventually. Russia being so kind took the bait and is truly going to denazify Ukraine so it can be more european, neo-liberal, atheist Ukraine. Orthodox Church in Ukraine? Finished. Out with the old, in with the new.
While the oligarchs back home might feel a certain type of resentment. When you got a political class of friends, reminiscent of a monarchy that is bound to leave a sour taste in your mouth for people who feel like they shouldn’t have to answer to some third world bureaucrat when he himself has no borders. Perhaps they also weren’t even able to get into the circle in the first place.
Across the pond in the civilized west, their motivations for their actions to join in the fun are endless.
So here we have a perfect storm a group of imbeciles and traitors who live by the day, put out fires only when they see them being led to a slaughter, unbeknownst to them.
"Russia is ruled by a conglomerate of middle managers" - I agree with this assessment. While the opportunity to earn seriously big money from selling natural resources belongs to the top "elite", e.g. the top level oligarchs and the power clans linked to the highest level, the actual management of Russia is delegated to mid-level management at the regional level, to various ministries and "natural monopolies". These people don't have direct access to benefit from the natural resource trading. Their source of income consists of two parts - milking the budget (распил бюджета) and milking of citizens, following paradigm "people are the new oil". The third pillar of making money in Russia is the financial system where some of the banks under protectorate of the CB are making super profits based on the high interest rates and insider knowledge for currency trading.
For the Ukrainian Jews alignment with Nazis in Ukraine - there isn't much contradiction there. While some of the "old school" nationalists in Ukraine retained some of antisemitic views, over the last 9 years this undercurrent was significantly reduced because Jews are no longer viewed as enemies of Ukraine, neither are Polish people, the focus has shifted entirely on Russians. Old trespasses are forgotten in favor of new alliances that bring new opportunities.
Mostly discouraging because it has the ring of truth to it. Col.s Mcgregor and Ritter ought to be cc'd. They are toeing the RF MoD line on the subject of the Kherson withdrawal. In fact Mcgregor himself said recently that they have trained fire zones should ВСУ attempt to move any significant numbers into the city. Why then didn't they annihilate Elensky and fiends when he recently "visited Russia"? Inquiring minds want to know.
These words are particularly satisfying though: "Тут важно понять, что любящие Родину и готовые идти на смерть за нее - это не враг государству. Они его главный оплот." Let it be so.
I agree here with Ritter about his "Zelensky selfie moment". There were obviously many other opportunities when Russia could have sent Zelensky at least on a run, but this is first of all not allowed by the rules of engagement in this conflict, and there are such rules that Russia follows strictly. Secondly - why create an eternal hero out of Zelensky? Propaganda will make out of Zelensky the man of legends might he be killed now. He needs to come to his natural demise. He is already at the stage when he knows too much to live for too long.
As for the Putin on the cover of Economist "The world in 2019" that is very logical. I remember that cover and looked it up once again just now. Putin and Russia were marked to play a key role in the planned pandemic since initially there wasn't 100% certainty on the part of Globalists if Putin and Russian ruling class are going to act as prescribed. Klaus Schwab even paid a visit to St. Petersburg in November of 2019 where Putin personally assured him "we are following your example, we are working with you in unison and we won't let you down" - this is a direct translation. After that visit the systems were all go and the handmade crisis begun to unravel first slowly already in December 2019. https://t.me/TELEKANALSTALINGRAD/12719
Who is Thomas Campbell and is he/his work credible? If not, why not? I'm not seeking a 1000 word take down, merely a vote of confidence. I have a hatred for ideologues and leftist academics if that is what he is.
This is a typical liberal anti-Russian propaganda site (and its author) where even NYT or WaPo by comparison look like moderate and balanced media outlets. Among other things this guy calls video posted by "Russisches Haus" (Russian House) in Berlin that invites Russian speaking kids there to come and meet Grandpa Frost (Дед Мороз, similar but not identical to Santa Klaus) during the holiday season an act of "Russian war propaganda" and calls the authorities or whoever can do it to ban it. He is a sick left wing nazi bastard. Where these people were when for 8 years people of greater Donbass region were systemically killed by thousands including over 100 children by Ukrainian artillery shelling just for their desire to keep their language, respect their heroes and traditions? A rhetorical question...

Yet none of this explains the likeness of VVP appearing on the cover of The Economist "The World in 2019" (go ahead, TRY to find this cover art now).
Or, in fact, this lil' nugget courtesy of an astute ZH commenter: https://base.garant.ru/72192478/#friends
NB: the publication date of this document, 2019.11.03, before the pandemic

спасибо и извините за это.
Inasmuch as I am largely a noob to these matters you have saved me a great deal of time. Other commenters on your site have a newly recognized value.
Something really stinks in Russia and it isn't the myriad Russian-speaking people, by and large.
